This report details the approach, field deployments, and findings from Phase I of this project (2013-2017). It lays the ground work for Phase II (2018-2020). Phase I focused on develping automated processes on the project website (https://wildlifeobserver.net) for receiving and processing images from cell and wifi-communicating cameras and from people maintaining camera trap arrays. The second phase focuses more on automated image analysis and on assisted analysis services for identfying animal "events" and behavior of animals in videos.
