State Route 50 is a major east-west transportation corridor across the Sierra Nevada. This project examines successful animal movement through structures under SR50 that were intentionally built for wildlife, or that were built for some other reason (e.g., a river crossing).

Three months of still photos at wildlife crossing structure under California highway 50. This structure was built by Caltrans, District 3, to allow wildlife to safely pass under the highway. Thousands of animals have passed through the structure, reducing conflict with vehicles on the highway above.
